nelj\u00e4\u00e4n virtapiiriin. Sinkin saostaminen tapahtuu altaissa, joita on yhteens\u00e4 840. Jokaisessa altaassa on 44 alumiinikatodia ja 45 lyijyanodia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sinkkisulfaattiliuos pumpataan altaisiin, joihin sy\u00f6tet\u00e4\u00e4n virtakisojen kautta s\u00e4hk\u00f6virtaa. S\u00e4hk\u00f6kemiallisen reaktion avulla sinkki saostuu liuoksesta alumiinisiin katodilevyihin, joissa sen annetaan kasvaa noin 35 tunnin ajan sinkkilevyksi. T\u00e4m\u00e4n j\u00e4lkeen katodit nostetaan altaista ja siirret\u00e4\u00e4n irrotuskoneille, joilla sinkkilevy irrotetaan katodin pinnasta mekaanisesti. Sinkki siirret\u00e4\u00e4n v\u00e4livarastoon ja sielt\u00e4 edelleen valimolle.
